Our Memorable Goa Adventure: 3 Days, 2 Nights of Fun!

Goa is always a dream destination, and our group of five (Vijayakumar, Vinayak, Sandeep, Mujeebkhan, and myself, Girish) turned that dream into reality! Here’s a detailed travelogue of our exciting journey from 22-11-2024 to 24-11-2024, filled with temples, beaches, forts, and unforgettable memories.


Day 1: Setting the Wheels in Motion

  • 5:30 AM: Our journey began from Ranebennur with a car filled with luggage, diesel, and excitement.
  • 7:30 AM: First stop was the Sirsi Marikamba Temple. After taking blessings and photos in front of the temple, we had a hearty breakfast of idli, vada, Kesari-bath, and tea at the Udupi Hotel.
  • 10:26 AM: Reached Mirjan Fort, a place filled with historic vibes. We explored every corner and refreshed ourselves with lemon soda before continuing.
  • 11:18 AM: The next stop was the serene Kadkod Falls, where we captured some amazing pictures.
  • 11:48 AM: Trekking time! We hiked a 5 km trail to Vajragundi Falls, soaking in the natural beauty and enjoying the cool breeze.
  • 2:30 PM: Lunch break at Kamath Upachar fueled us for the next leg of our journey.
  • 4:30 PMWe arrived at Palolem Beach in Goa! The beach vibes were contagious, and we enjoyed the water and a refreshing bath.
  • 9:00 PM: Checked into La Gabriel Beach Inn Resort near Calangute Beach after a quick tea stop. Dinner and a stroll on the beach concluded the day at 11:55 PM.

Day 2: Exploring the Riches of Goa

  • 6:00 AM: A peaceful morning at Calangute Beach with tea and samosas, freshening up and checking out at 9:45 AM.
  • 10:55 AM: Reached the iconic Aguada Fort, bought tickets (₹25 per person), explored the fort, and energized with lemon soda and mango slices.
  • 12:00 PM: En route to Reis Magos Fort, we enjoyed a 45-minute Dolphin Boat Ride, a thrilling experience on the sea.
  • 1:30 PM: At Reis Magos Fort, we explored its heritage and cooled off with ice cream.
  • 2:45 PM: A delicious lunch at the Udupi Hotel in Panaji was followed by tea at Vijay Tea Stall.
  • 5:45 PM: Checked into Blue Berry Inn Lodge, freshened up, and hit the Colangute shopping streets. We ended the day with snacks at Heart Rock and a late-night beach walk, finally resting at 12:30 AM.

Day 3: Saying Goodbye to Goa

  • 6:00 AM: Another early morning beach visit was followed by freshening up and checking out at 9:45 AM.

  • 11:30 AM: Strolled along the shores of Anjuna Beach before heading to the Chapora Fort at 12:00 PM for breathtaking views and photos.

  • 2:00 PM: Our spiritual side was fulfilled at the Basilica of Bom, where we witnessed the 18th Exposition of the Holy Relics of St. Francis Xavier.

  • 3:00 PM: Shopping and snacks marked our final hours in Goa. We started our journey back, enjoying a satisfying meal at Udupi Vihar and tea at the Karnataka border.

  • 10:30 PM: Home sweet home! Tired yet content, we brought back a suitcase full of memories.

This Goa trip was truly an unforgettable experience. From history and nature to beaches and food, it had everything we could have asked for. Each moment was a story, and every stop was a memory worth cherishing.
